At Fast Host Nig, SSL certificates are automatically renewed — but if you encounter any issues, this guide will help you check, renew, and fix SSL-related problems quickly.

???? Step 1: Automatic SSL Renewal

All hosting plans on Fast Host Nig include free AutoSSL (powered by Let’s Encrypt).
AutoSSL automatically renews your SSL certificate every 90 days.

To confirm renewal is active:

1. Log in to cPanel.

2. Go to Security → SSL/TLS Status.

3. Ensure the AutoSSL feature is enabled.

4. Check the Expires On column — if renewal is active, you’ll see a new expiration date before the old one expires.

???? Tip: You don’t need to manually install or renew SSL unless you disabled AutoSSL or use a custom certificate.

???? Step 2: Forcing Manual Renewal (If Needed)

If your SSL didn’t renew automatically:

1. In cPanel → SSL/TLS Status, click Run AutoSSL.

2. Wait a few minutes while the system validates your domain.

3. Refresh the page to confirm the new SSL certificate has been applied.

✅ When successful, your domain will show a green padlock icon and status “AutoSSL Domain Validated”.

???? Step 3: Common SSL Issues and Fixes

⚠️ Issue 1: SSL Not Showing or Website Still “Not Secure”

Cause: Browser cache or DNS propagation delay.
Fix:

• Clear your browser cache.

• Try visiting your site in an incognito window.

• Wait up to 24 hours for DNS to refresh.

• Verify your site URL starts with https://.

⚠️ Issue 2: SSL Expired or Not Renewing

Cause: AutoSSL disabled or domain expired.
Fix:

1. Log in to cPanel → SSL/TLS Status.

2. Make sure AutoSSL is turned ON.

3. Renew your domain name if it’s expired.

4. Run AutoSSL manually.

⚠️ Issue 3: Mixed Content Warning

Cause: Some pages still load insecure (HTTP) content.
Fix:

• Update your site links to use https://.

• Use a plugin like Really Simple SSL (for WordPress).

• Enable Force HTTPS Redirect in cPanel → Domains.

⚠️ Issue 4: Certificate Name Mismatch

Cause: SSL installed for “www” but not the root domain (or vice versa).
Fix:

• Re-run AutoSSL for both versions (yourdomain.com and www.yourdomain.com).

• Make sure both are added to your hosting account.
