Troubleshooting Email Delivery Issues Print

  • 0

If you’re having trouble sending or receiving emails from your domain (like info@yourdomain.com), don’t worry — this guide will help you quickly diagnose and fix common problems with your Fast Host Nig email.

???? Step 1: Check Your Internet and Login Credentials

Before anything else:

  • Make sure you’re connected to the internet.

  • Confirm that you’re using the correct email address and password.

  • Try logging into Webmail at yourdomain.com/webmail to confirm that your account is active.

If you can log in to Webmail but not your email app, the issue is likely with your email client settings.

???? Step 2: Verify Email Client Settings (Outlook, Gmail, etc.)

Use these correct settings for all Fast Host Nig email accounts:

Setting Value
Incoming Mail (IMAP) mail.yourdomain.com
IMAP Port 993 (SSL)
Outgoing Mail (SMTP) mail.yourdomain.com
SMTP Port 465 (SSL)
Username Your full email address
Password Your email password

???? Always enable SSL for secure email communication.

???? Step 3: Check Your Mailbox Quota

If your mailbox is full, new emails won’t be delivered.

  1. Log in to cPanel → Email Accounts.

  2. Check the Storage Usage of your email.

  3. Delete old or unnecessary messages, or increase the quota if needed.

???? Step 4: Review Spam and Junk Folders

Sometimes, incoming messages are filtered as spam.

  • Check the Spam or Junk folder in Webmail or your email client.

  • Mark trusted messages as Not Spam to improve future delivery.

???? Step 5: Check DNS and MX Records

If emails aren’t being delivered at all:

  1. Log in to cPanel → Zone Editor.

  2. Make sure your MX Record points to your domain, like:

    mail.yourdomain.com
  3. Remove any outdated or external mail records that conflict.

⚠️ Incorrect MX records can stop your email from working completely.

???? Step 6: Clear Email Queue (Advanced)

If you’re managing a VPS or reseller account:

  • Use Email Deliverability or Mail Queue Manager in WHM/cPanel to check pending messages.

???? Step 7: Contact Support

If the problem continues, reach out to Fast Host Nig Support.
Provide details like:
