????️ How to Use File Manager and Manage Files
The File Manager in cPanel lets you manage your website files directly from your browser — no need for FTP or extra software. Follow these steps to organize and edit files easily on Fast Host Nig.
???? Step 1: Log in to Your cPanel
Go to www.fasthost.com.ng → Client Area → Services → My Hosting Accounts → Login to cPanel.
???? Step 2: Open File Manager
Scroll to the Files section and click File Manager.
You’ll see a directory list containing folders like:

public_html– your main website folder -
mail– stores your email data -
tmp– temporary files
???? Always work inside the public_html folder for your website files.
???? Step 3: Upload Files
To upload new files:

Open the folder (e.g.,
public_html). -
Click Upload on the top menu.

Select your file(s) and wait for the upload to finish.
You can also upload a .zip file for multiple files and extract it afterward.
???? Step 4: Create New Files or Folders
Click + File or + Folder at the top to add new items.

Example: Create
index.htmlas your homepage file. -
Use descriptive names for easy management.
???? Step 5: Edit Files Online
You can edit text-based files directly:

Right-click the file → Edit or Code Edit.

Make your changes.

Click Save Changes when done.
This is great for editing HTML, PHP, or config files quickly.
???? Step 6: Extract or Compress Files

To unzip: Right-click a
.zipfile → Extract. -
To compress: Select files/folders → Click Compress → Choose ZIP format.
This helps when uploading or downloading multiple files at once.
???? Step 7: Delete or Move Files

Select unwanted files → Click Delete.

Drag and drop to move files between folders.
Always double-check before deleting — this action can’t be undone.
