????️ Creating and Managing Databases

Databases store the information your website or web app needs to run — like user accounts, posts, or settings. Here’s how to create and manage databases in your Fast Host Nig cPanel.

???? Step 1: Log in to Your cPanel

Go to www.fasthost.com.ngClient Area → Services → My Hosting Accounts → Login to cPanel.

???? Step 2: Open MySQL® Databases

In your cPanel dashboard, scroll down to the Databases section and click MySQL® Databases.

???? Step 3: Create a New Database

  • In the Create New Database field, enter a name for your database (e.g., mywebsite_db).

  • Click Create Database.

???? Step 4: Create a Database User

Scroll down to MySQL Users and:

  • Enter a Username and Password for your new database user.

  • Click Create User.

???? Use a strong password for better security.

???? Step 5: Assign User to Database

Under Add User to Database, choose the user and the database you just created.
Click Add, then tick All Privileges, and click Make Changes.

???? Step 6: Connect Your Database to Your Website

During installation (e.g., WordPress setup), use the following details:

  • Database Name

  • Database Username

  • Database Password

  • Database Host: localhost

???? Step 7: Manage Your Database

To view or edit your database:

  • Go to cPanel → phpMyAdmin.

  • Select your database to manage tables, import/export data, or run SQL commands.
