Pointing your domain to your hosting account connects your website name to your hosting server. Follow these simple steps to make your domain work with Fast Host Nig.
Step 1: Get Your Nameservers
After purchasing a hosting plan, Fast Host Nig will send you a welcome email containing your nameserver details.
They usually look like this:
-
ns1.fasthost.com.ng
-
ns2.fasthost.com.ng
Step 2: Log in to Your Domain Registrar
Log in to the account where your domain is registered. This could be Fast Host Nig or another registrar like Namecheap, GoDaddy, or WhoGoHost.
Step 3: Locate DNS or Nameserver Settings
In your domain management area, look for DNS Settings, Nameservers, or Domain Settings.
Step 4: Update the Nameservers
Replace the existing nameservers with the ones provided by Fast Host Nig, for example:
ns1.fasthost.com.ng
ns2.fasthost.com.ng
Save your changes.
Step 5: Wait for Propagation
DNS changes take some time to update globally — usually within 1 to 24 hours. Once propagation is complete, your domain will point to your hosting account, and your website will be live.
